Horace Buddoo's musical journey traces back to his childhood, where his extraordinary singing talent was first discovered by his 5th-grade teacher. It all began when he was asked to sing the solo for "Everything is Beautiful" by Ray Stevens, showcasing his innate musical gift. Not only did he excel in solo performances, but his ability to grasp and teach different vocal parts, including soprano, alto, and tenor, set him apart at a young age. This early exposure ignited a passion for music that would shape his future endeavors.
Horace's musical exploration extended beyond singing as he received formal training in classical piano and honed his skills on the trumpet, drums, and violin in his formative years. His diverse musical influences, spanning across various genres and eras, have contributed to his unique and eclectic musical style.
In addition to his musical pursuits, Horace has established himself as a respected educator, holding multiple undergraduate and graduate degrees, including a master's degree in Music Education and another in Curriculum and Instruction, and an educational specialist degree in Educational Leadership. Horace is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Education and he actively engages in education consulting, research, and speaking engagements, furthering his impact in the field of education.
Beyond his academic and musical achievements, Horace is deeply committed to advocating for educational equity, civil rights, and health and fitness. Through his ministry, he aims to convey a profound message of authenticity and realness, emphasizing the importance of embracing one's true self to fulfill their purpose.
